En avril 2012, The Walt Disney Company China, Marvel Studios et DMG Entertainment ont annoncé un accord pour coproduire Iron Man 3 en Chine. DMG a partiellement financé, produit en Chine avec Marvel et géré les questions de coproduction. DMG a également distribué le film en Chine en tandem avec Disney.
