detalhes: O período dos Reinos Combatentes foi uma era na história chinesa antiga caracterizada por guerras, bem como por reformas burocráticas e militares e consolidação. Seguiu o período das Primaveras e Outonos e terminou com as guerras de conquista de Qin, que viram a anexação de todos os outros estados contendores, o que finalmente levou à vitória do estado de Qin em 221 a.C. como o primeiro império chinês unificado, conhecido como a dinastia Qin.
