Bicycle - First in Germany
Time: 1853
Place: Schweinfurt, Bavaria, Germany
Details: In 1853, once again, Germany was the center of innovation, when Philipp Moritz Fischer, who had used the Draisine since he was 9 years old for going to school, invented the very first bicycle with pedals. The Tretkurbelfahrrad from 1853 is still sustained and is on public display in the municipality museum in Schweinfurt.
