Details: In 2011, Tatmadaw (Myanmar Armed Forces) launched a military offensive named Operation Perseverance against insurgents in Shan State in 2011. During the offensive, the Tatmadaw captured territory from the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA) and the Shan State Army - North (SSA-N), with the latter being involved in most of the fighting.
