1905 Russian Revolution - The Russian Constitution of 1906

Time: Sunday May 6, 1906

Place: Russian Empire

Details: The Russian Constitution of 1906, Created 6 May [O.S. 23 April] 1906, also known as the Fundamental Laws, set up a multiparty system and a limited constitutional monarchy. The revolutionaries were quelled and satisfied with the reforms, but it was not enough to prevent the 1917 revolution that would later topple the Tsar's regime.
