Chinese famine of 1928–1930

Details: The Chinese famine of 1928–1930 occurred as widespread drought hit Northwestern and Northern China, most notably in the provinces of Henan, Shaanxi and Gansu. Estimates of mortality range from about 3 million to 10 million people. The inefficiency of relief has been pointed out as a factor which aggravated the famine.
Best-effort ordering. Some events may appear out of order since many are only known to the year, but they are usually around the same period.
