Parks ha co-fondato il Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development

Nel febbraio 1987 ha co-fondato, con Elaine Eason Steele, il Rosa and Raymond Parks Institute for Self Development, un istituto che gestisce i tour in autobus "Pathways to Freedom" che introducono i giovani a importanti siti legati ai diritti civili e alla Underground Railroad in tutto il paese.
