Ashur-nadin-ahhe I foi deposto, seja por Shaustatar ou por seu próprio irmão Enlil-nasir II (1430–1425 a.C.) em 1430 a.C., que então pagou tributo a Mitanni. Ashur-nirari II (1424–1418 a.C.) teve um reinado sem incidentes e parece ter pago tributo ao Império Mitânio.
