JP Morgan Chase
New York, New York, U.S.
According to the bank, customers' contact data were compromised in the attack. The breach affected Chase mobile, Chase.com, and JPMorgan mobile users. Prosecutors allege Andrei Tyurin worked with a team that included Gery Shalon, Samuel Aaron, and Ziv Orenstein. For about two months, the hackers had access to the bank's network without being detected. The attackers used highly sensitive data to perpetrate fraud and stock-manipulation schemes, earning them more than $100 million in dirty money. About 83 million customers, 76 million households, and 7 million businesses were stolen. A total of 166 million users lost their data.
