Françoise Bettencourt Meyers was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France on July 10, 1953.

In 1984, Françoise Bettencourt Meyers married Jean-Pierre Meyers, the grandson of a rabbi murdered at Auschwitz, and they decided to raise their children as Jewish.
