First Sino-Japanese War - The Japanese Entered Magong
Time: Sunday Mar 24, 1895 at 11:30:00 AM
Place: Magong, Magong City, Penghu County, Taiwan
Details: After reinforcing the captured positions, the following morning, Japanese troops marched on the main town of Magong. The Chinese offered token resistance and after a short skirmish they abandoned their positions, retreating to nearby Xiyu Island. At 11:30am, the Japanese entered Magong.
