On May 3, 2018, Xiaomi filed to go public on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and aims to raise $10 billion in IPO which is expected to be the world's biggest IPO raise since 2014, Xiaomi also announced in partnership with 3 (telecommunications) to sell smartphones in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Denmark, and Sweden
The Oppo Find X was launched on 19 June 2018 in Paris. Find X features a design that is different from traditional smartphone designs. A pop-up camera allows it to be a full-screen smartphone with minimal bezels. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and it operates on Android 8.1 (Oreo) with ColorOS 5.1.
On July 18, Facebook established a subsidiary named Lianshu Science & Technology in Hangzhou City, China, with $30 million of capital. All its shares are held by Facebook Hong. Approval of the registration of the subsidiary was then withdrawn, due to a disagreement between officials in Zhejiang province and the Cyberspace Administration of China.
The OnePlus 6T was unveiled on 29 October 2018. It launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, a dual-lens camera setup, up to 8 GB RAM, and up to 256 GB of storage. It also features a larger 6.41" 19.5:9 Optic AMOLED display with in-display fingerprint sensor and launched on OxygenOS based on Android 9 Pie. The camera has a 'Nightscape' mode which uses a longer exposure time to capture better photos in poor lighting conditions.
